Information we use
PerkDrop uses a randomly generated, device-held guest credential for private saved offers, plans, connected-device access and eligible passes. The credential is stored securely on the device and represented by a hash on the server. Usage records can include pseudonymous browser or app identifiers, visits, viewed listings, searches, saves, referral/campaign information and technical request information. These identifiers do not necessarily identify a unique person. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send.
Location
The native app asks for location only when you choose Near me. Foreground coordinates are used to find local listings; the selected point is rounded to three decimals before local persistence and the embedded map URL. The website map and its providers may receive that selected point and technical request information. No background location is requested by the native app. You can deny permission and choose a suburb or postcode instead.
Offline information
A temporary device cache may keep public listings for up to 24 hours. It does not contain private credentials, saves or pass records. Cached listings are labelled and cannot issue claims. You can clear the downloaded catalogue in Settings.
Optional notifications
Where notification delivery is enabled, you may explicitly opt in to local event picks. PerkDrop stores the device notification token, chosen city and timezone, consent and limited delivery information. Expo and the Apple or Google notification service process the token and notification payload to deliver it. You can disable alerts in the app or your phone settings. Builds that say remote alerts are unavailable do not provide remote delivery.
How we use information
We use information to provide listings, private saves/plans/passes, permitted notifications, service improvement, abuse prevention and support. An official link, booking destination or directions action may take you to a third-party service with its own privacy practices.
Service providers
Supabase hosts catalogue and consumer data. Vercel hosts the website and website analytics. Expo and Apple/Google notification services are used for opted-in remote notifications when enabled. Providers may process information outside Australia. PerkDrop does not sell your personal information.
Deletion and your choices
In a native release supporting deletion, Settings → Delete PerkDrop data removes private account saves, plans, notification registration and connected-device access after server confirmation. Necessary transaction records may remain without the consumer, session and pass-access links. External venue bookings are not cancelled. Service logs and pseudonymous analytics are separate records and may remain for service integrity and reporting. To request access, correction or deletion assistance, contact perkdropofficial@gmail.com. We may need to verify which device-held account is yours; do not email a private credential, device link or pass code.
Security and retention
We restrict access to private data and keep credentials on the device rather than in a public catalogue cache. Information is retained while needed to provide the service, address disputes, prevent misuse and meet applicable obligations. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
